OK, you have invested in all the energy saving equipment, had reports till they are coming out your ears, and still you are not achieving the energy savings that you thought? It could be that everyone has forgotten about training.

Training is typically the last initiative to be undertaken, and yet, unless all staff understand how to use and maintain equipment in order to optimise energy use, the savings can be lost.

The Energy Initiative has devised a programme which can be tailored to your business. It aims to encourage employees by looking at what they can do in their homes and applying the same principles to business. The programme is suitable for training staff at all levels from shop floor to site energy reps, to manager to board members.

Also available are "sheep-dip" courses where we will take skilled staff and introduce them to energy issues in their field. Although experts in their own right, specialist staff do not necessarily understand the energy implications in their field. An example is training maintenance staff to run air compressors efficiently from the energy viewpoint, without compromising supply.
